ROCKFORD, Ill. – Next Rockford, a group of the next generation of local leaders, has just announced a new benefit to support the City’s effort to create a Family Peace Center. The group will hold a fun run on Saturday, October 19, at 3 p.m. at Prairie Street Brewhouse.
“This should be a fun race for the entire family,” says organizer Rob Young. “We want people to come out, enjoy a non-completive run or walk along the river, and support a great cause.”
After the run, participants are invited to a post-race celebration at Prairie Street Brewhouse with food, refreshments and drinks.
“The membership of Next Rockford feel very strongly that the creation of a Family Peace Center will have a significant and long lasting impact on the health of our community,” explains Young. “We’re proud to come together and raise funds to support a place which will provide hope to so many local survivors.”
